Grandma Myers’ Fancy Chocolate Nut Cookies

Ingredients: |
Cookies:
1 cup butter
1/3 cup sugar
2 teaspoons vanilla
2 cups sifted flour
1 cup chopped pecans
Chocolate coating:
12 ounces melted chocolate
Optional:
Toasted coconut, chopped toasted pecans |

Directions: |
Cream
butter and sugar; add vanilla, sifted flour, and chopped pecans. Chill 3-4
hours. Shape into fingers and bake on ungreased cookie sheet at 325 degrees
for 20 minutes. Let cool. Dip ends in melted chocolate; immediately roll in
coconut or chopped toasted pecans, if using.
Let stand on foil lightly sprayed with cooking spray until chocolate is
set. |
